Floral Accent - Green

You don’t want to miss this fragrant oil that comes from a hybrid plant of lavender and spike lavender. The aroma is more camphoraceous than lavender and is a great addition to soaps and lotions. Keep it on hand to deal with the cuts and scrapes that come from an active life; its bactericidal properties may help fight off infection. Lavandin relaxes your muscles and mind as part of a massage blend.

MORE INFO

Lavandin essential oil, while similar to Lavender, is not a “true” lavender. It is a cross between lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) which grows at higher altitudes and spike lavender (Lavandula latifolia) which grows lower on the hillsides. It has a very sweet and floral aroma similar to “true” Lavender.

The higher camphor level in Lavandin will give it a more pungent aroma than our pure fine lavender. And because it has a lower ester content, it is not as powerful a calming presence as our fine lavender. Unfortunately many unscrupulous vendors use lavandin in their “lavender” oil, denying their customers the full potency of true lavender.
