You can purify the energy and the air in your home by diffusing palo santo essential oil. The indigenous people have used it for thousands of years for its powerful healing properties, and it does have antiviral and antibacterial properties that can benefit your family as well. Palo santo comes from the same botanical family as frankincense and delivers a similar spiritual support for meditation as it quiets your racing mind.

HOW TO USE

Bath: Add a few drops Palo Santo bath water.

Diffuser: Studies show that using a high quality nebulizer is the most effective way to take advantage of the therapeutic benefits of essential oils. Diffuse Palo Santo in your home to increase the immunity of the entire family, purify the energetic field and create an aromatically beautiful environment. Palo Santo combines very well in a diffuser with its distant cousin, Frankincense.

Massage Oil: You can apply Palo Santo “neat,” meaning without carrier oil. Always test a small amount of essential oil first for sensitivity or allergic reaction. You can also make a massage blend if you don’t want to use the oil “neat”.

Relaxing & Calming: Apply Palo Santo to the wrists, temples, or bottom of feet for relaxation. May enhance one’s ability to dream and is very calming and stress relieving. Palm Inhalation: Place a drop of Palo Santo in the hands, rub the palms together vigorously, cup the hands in front of the face and take a deep direct inhalation. Suspend the breath momentarily and then exhale. Repeat this process 2-3 times per day. This is a great way to relieve anxiety and panic attacks. Palo Santo is soooo-very soothing for the nervous system.

Perfume: Apply at the wrists neck as a perfume.

Always dilute essential oils with a carrier oil.

More Info

The Essence of Inshanti’s Palo Santo essential oil (Bursera graveolens) comes from one family owned distillery in Ecuador, which only distills the heartwood of Palo Santo trees that have died and fallen naturally.

It is fascinating that the heartwood must be at least two years old and be from the red wood to produce the higher quality oil.

Equally as intriguing, the longer the tree has been dead, the more powerful the oil. This holds true for frankincense essential oil as well.

Palo Santo- “Holy Wood” is rare and unique oil from Ecuador.

Every country has unique botanical treasures, the greatest of which become pillars of the culture because of their importance in their society. Palo Santo is a medicinal pillar in Ecuador. Available to you as Palo Santo Essential Oil, it’s healing powers are so numerous that for centuries it has served as a panacea for areas of South America. It is so powerful that Shamans and Saints use the essential oil in sacred rituals and the aroma of Palo Santo stands among the greatest of the world’s fragrant woods. Because of the extraordinary blessings it bestows upon those who have the good fortune use it, plant-medicines such as Palo Santo eventually may reach a divine-like status in the hearts and minds of the people.

I find Palo Santo Essential oil my most interesting essential oil to work with. Because it is in the Frankincense family and shares similar properties, people tend to often interchange the oils.

Palo Santo oil is a sweeter, softer oil to use and it doesn’t come with the skin sensitivity. In my opinion, Pal Santo is like frankincense on steroids! It is a very powerful antioxidant because of its high d-limonene content. Palo Santo oil contains 75-76% d-limonene, you rarely find this in tree oil. Studies show that d-limonene activates white blood cells, anti-tumoral, immuno stimulant, supports the liver, protects against pancreatic, stomach, colon, skin, and liver cancers.
