Mentha x piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Commiphora myrrha (Myrrh) Oil, Citrus limon (Lemon) Oil, Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree) Oil, Matricaria recutita (German Chamomile) Oil and Eugenia caryophyllata (Clove Bud) Oil
The essential oil of peppermint is known to help people become “clear-headed” and so is beneficial when you can’t concentrate or have mental fatigue. By stimulating circulation, it strengthens and calms the nerves. An added benefit of using peppermint is that it’s antifungal and antibacterial and is beneficial for sinus congestion, infection, or inflammation.
Myrrh is a strong antiseptic and antibacterial that helps protect against infection, brings relief to chapped skin, and relieves inflammation in your mouth and gums. Myrrh is found in many toothpastes today and can be used to target mouth ulcers.
Lemon essential oil has long been used as a mental stimulant and brightener of the mind. Lemon replaces negative emotions by creating a cheerful atmosphere of freshness and purity, making it a wonderful addition to a diffused oil blend. It can help dispel mental fatigue and psychological heaviness. The aroma of lemon can inspire increased concentration and awareness. Studies in Japan found that when dispersed through the room, lemon oil reduced typing errors by 54%! Lemon oil is reputed to have “high vibrations” that can lift the spirits and overcome mental fatigue and also clear the mind. That makes it a great oil for diffusing in the office—it clears the mind, overcoming mental fatigue, and kills airborne viruses, while building up your immune system.
Lavender has a calming aroma that soothes overactive emotions and slows your breathing so you can relax and sleep well. It’s known to cultivate new skin after burns, stings, or sores, reducing scarring.
Tea tree oil acts as a shield against infections, whether bacterial, viral, or fungal, and helps fight inflamation. Its fresh, spicy aroma lifts your spirits as it strengthens your confidence.
German chamomile is one of the most potent anti-inflammatory essential oils. It has strong pain-relief properties that work to soothe and calm your nervous system, arthritis pain, and respiratory and digestive disturbances.
The essential oil of clove bud is a great oil for any cold, painful, constrictive situation. It offers warming effects, reduces pain, and is strengthening for the body overall. Clove bud is antiseptic, exhibiting broad antimicrobial activity, because of the high proportion of eugenol. It is very anti-spasmodic and anesthetic.
