A beautiful essential oil with a sweet smoky aroma, cedarwood is great for your skin; it was used by Native Americans in New Mexico to treat skin rashes and is widely added to natural lotions today to help with eczema. Emotionally, cedarwood is said to provide support and strength so you live more fearlessly.

HOW TO USE

Acne: Clear up acne. See recipe in recipes tab.

Bug Repellent: Make your own bug repellent by mixing equal parts of distilled water and witch hazel in a 2 oz. empty spray bottle, then adding 20–25 drops of cedarwood.

Chest Cold/Cough: Relief for cough and cold. See recipe in recipes tab.

Diffuser: Add cedarwood to your diffuser to help reduce stress and clean the air.

Seborrheic Eczema: For scalp, add several drops of cedarwood to your shampoo or conditioner. For skin, add 10–12 drops of cedarwood into 1 oz. of carrier oil and massage into effected skin. Use in a bath, using cedarwood to help relieve eczema. Blend together in a separate container, 6–8 drops of cedarwood into 1 tablespoon of milk or carrier oil. Optional: Add a 1/2-cup of Epsom salts to bath water.

Acne Buster Blend

6 drops cedarwood

4 drops rosalina

5 drops lavender

1 oz. unscented lotion

Directions: Blend all ingredients in a 1 oz. jar. Apply topically to effected area.

Chest Cold Relief

 5 drops cedarwood 

3 drops ravintsara

3 drops green myrtle

1 oz. of carrier oil or lotion

Directions: Blend all ingredients in a 1 oz. container. Massage into neck, chest, and back area.

Natural Diuretic Topical Blend

 6 drops cedarwood

 3 drops laurel leaf

 2 drops lemon

 1 oz. carrier oil or lotion

Directions: Blend all ingredients in a 1 oz. container. Massage into skin.

Stress Less (massage oil)

5 drops cedarwood

5 drops bergamot

1 drop ylang ylang

1 drop neroli

1 oz. carrier oil
